Description
An Italian cheese made from sheep’s milk, this Pecorino Toscano DOP is aged for at least four months, giving it a bold, mildly nutty flavor. Similar to pecorino siciliano and pecorino Romano, this cheese can be grated or shredded over a variety of Italian recipes.
Use this type of cheese as an ingredient in a cacio e pepe. Try it as an alternative to parmigiano Reggiano on pizza or salad. Or pair it with cured meats and a bold glass of wine on a charcuterie board.
