Our Company Logo

The best chefs need the best ingredients. If you had all the time in the world, you would make your own olive oil and bottle your own preserves. Instead you have to deal with middle-men who aren’t connected with what they sell. Meanwhile, the options are limited by what someone else thinks will be popular in a distant market.

Khayyan isn’t just an importer or distributor. We are a partner who puts you where you deserve to be: in direct contact with the source of your ingredients. Our customers work with us to drive the choice of products, and never have to worry about quality because we use only the best: ingredients you can be proud to have on your menu. Through us you have direct access to our farms and facilities, all dedicated to sustainability and wise management of the resources we have inherited from the generations that came before us. Like you, we prioritize traditional methods not only because they promise better-tasting results, but because they are better for our health and for our planet.

The Mediterranean is a great cross-roads of flavors, with a long history of providing quality produce to the whole of Europe. We bring you the deep, rich flavors of the Spanish terroir and a millennium of know-how informed by Roman, Moorish, and South American traditions and help you pair them with your menu.

"We've been buying high quality ingredients from Khayyan for years and couldn't be happier with the quality their products. We use Olivar Santamaria EVOO for cooking and for drizzling, and are always happy with this all-rounder juice. Plus, the people. When our doorbell rings and 'liquid gooold' comes through on the intercom, it feels like it’s coming from family. We just started getting some pyramid-shaped crystal finishing salt and some pretty serious sherry vinegars. Doing business with Khayyan is such a pleasure. Cool product, cool people..."

Moscatel, is a sweet, floral grape with a honeyed aroma. Aged in American oak barrels, this wine slowly acidifies and becomes a delightfully bittersweet vinegar. Naturally aged and slowly matured, this sherry vinegar retains that same captivating aroma of fresh fruit that makes Moscatel wine so unique.

From a full body, high tannin red Tempranillo and Garnacha wine, we arrive at a red wine vinegar with a beautiful ruby red color, rich nuanced flavor and satisfying dry finish, making this wine vinegar an incredibly flavorful ingredient for marinades, salad dressings, pickling, baking and vinaigrettes.

The artichoke (Cynara scolymus ) is rightly described as a vegetable, but is actually a flower. Artichoke "heads" are the flower buds of the plant, a distant relative of the common thistle, which has evolved under human guidance into what it is today over the course of centuries. In Navarra, artichokes are an essential ingredient in “menestra de verduras ”, a medley of local vegetables such as piquillo peppers
